Final Fantasy XIV gears up for another year of The Rising celebration

Last year was a major milestone for Final Fantasy XIV, as it marked the 10-year anniversary for the relaunched game. So what do you do for the next year? Well, it should be obvious: You hold the 11-year anniversary event. And that’s just what the game is doing when the newest incarnation of The Rising kicks off on August 27th, offering players a new tour back through the past year while promising a glance toward the future as the quests begin in Limsa Lominsa.

Yes, the quest this year starts in Limsa Lominsa, something that hasn’t happened since the very first Rising event in 2014. Players will be able to pick up a new Krile minion and a special tabletop lamp by way of rewards, and the artwork certainly suggests some nautical antics. If you cannot spend an entire week just waiting for the event and wondering what it will contain, of course, you don’t need to; the developers have also released a music video for the final Arcadion track, Give It All, which you can check out just below.
