Elder Scrolls Online is giving away the Dragon Bones DLC for logging in four times in September

As part of its 10th anniversary celebrations, The Elder Scrolls Online has been handing out some insane freebies all year, and next month, the freebies include a whole DLC as part of the login campaign.

“Log in for just a few days during September 2024 to unlock free DLC dungeons,” ZeniMax Online Studios says. “Your third login during the month unlocks the Fang Lair dungeon, while your fourth unlocks the Scalecaller Peak dungeon.”

I had long since forgotten this, but these two dungeons make up the paid Dragon Bones DLC; it came out back at the top of 2018 in conjunction with update 17 and is normally 1500 crowns.

“Scalecaller Peak – Zaan the Scalecaller has returned with a new patron, the Daedric Prince of Pestilence, Peryite. With her new master’s help, she threatens to unleash a deadly new plague upon all of Tamriel. You must enter the long-abandoned temple of Scalecaller, battle your way through plague-twisted monsters and cultists, face the resurrected Dragon Priest, and put a stop to her vile plans.

“Fang Lair – The lost Dwarven ruins of Fang Lair were once the final resting place of the mighty dragon Thurvokun. Now, it is inhabited by a dangerous Necromancer cult and their monstrous creations. However, the Blackmarrow Cult wants more than lost treasure: they aim to reanimate the bones of the long-dead Dragon himself! Make your way through the lost site and stop the powerful Necromancer Orryn the Black before he can bring his terrible new weapon to bear on the people of Tamriel.”

Of course, if you already bought these dungeons, or you subscribe to the game and have them unlocked for free, you might be a bit salty about not getting anything… except, you know, more people to play with in your favorite dungeons you bought six years ago in the Morrowind/Summerset era.
