In the wee hours of this morning, Amazon pushed out another patch for Throne and Liberty: The 1.5.0 update launches the new battle pass for the Phantom Tracker’s Star season, which promises “new emotes, an Amitoi, and an outfit, among other useful items and materials for your journeys in Solisium.” We also spy a range of bug fixes and balance tweaks; Amazon has improved the field boss fight experience and loot, tweaked Adventure Codex experience, nerfed crowd control in PvP, and improved controller functionality.

Earlier this week, Amazon also reminded players that it’s begun cracking down on real-money trading in the game.

“We have a zero tolerance policy for RMT within our games. If you are caught engaging in these types of activities, you will be punished on an escalating basis, taking into account the severity of the RMT and the number of previous infractions, all the way up to permanent bans. […] Participating in RMT activity negatively impacts the economy and the gameplay experience for all players by empowering bot activity, encouraging fraudulent transactions, and compromising the hard work of players who follow the rules.”

T&L has been out a month now and is still holding on to a large chunk of its western playerbase; it peaked at 336K players at the top of November and clocked in at a peak of 200K this past Sunday. Over 131K people are in game as I type this Thursday morning – on Halloween. Not too shabby at all.
