Once upon a time, in a game that nobody seems to talk about yet probably has a bajillion players because it’s Disney, a new expansion pass was born. After a kiss from a prince and a Gameloft-shaped frog, Dreamlight Valley awoke to the news that the Storybook Vale should arrive in the online title on November 20th.

This DLC centers around the villains Maleficent and Hades as well as the heroes Merida and Flynn as a two-part story unfolds (the second part releases next summer). There are three biomes, several new critters, and a Royal Net to catch small creatures made out of storybook pages.

The Storybook Vale standard edition is $30, with more expensive and packed editions scaling up to $50 and $80.

Gameloft recently hosted a showcase stream to talk about other upcoming improvements to Dreamlight Valley such as the addition of Nightmare Before Christmas’ Sally in December, floating islands, a 16-degree rotation for housing, and the continuation of free content every quarter or so.
