Skull and Bones tries again with its Great Shadow world event after bugs forced it offline

Ubisoft is sheepishly trying again with a big patch feature in Skull and Bones after having to take a brand-new world event offline earlier this week because of bugs.

“On Tuesday 10th of December, we temporarily disabled the mythic difficulty world event The Great Shadow,” said the devs. “We’ve since been hard at work resolving the issues identified thanks to your feedback. Today’s maintenance will reintroduce The Great Shadow.” They went on to say that the patch will pump up the difficulty level of the event, as the first iteration featured a “significantly reduced level of difficulty.”

The Thursday patch will fix some various bugs and issues, including certain builds becoming “more powerful than intended” and — we kid you not — “weapon elemental damage stacking in unintended ways when combined with certain furniture.” So don’t staple your blunderbuss to an armoire and all should be fine!
