Final Fantasy XIV appears to be eager to both draw in lapsed players and marshal free companies (aka guilds) in order to draw everyone back together in Eorzea, as the MMORPG has kicked off a pair of promotions that appear to be all about bolstering player numbers.
First, the Callback Campaign that lets players invite lapsed friends to come back for a free seven-day stint has kicked off once more, letting those who meet specific requirements return to the game and granting in-game goodies for both inviter and the invited. The campaign is running between now and May 9th.
In addition, Creative Studio 3 is also launching a Spring Community Support Campaign that encourages new and existing free companies to utilize the Community Finder site for rewards. Two promotions are being offered: one that gives guildies in-game goodies if an existing free company makes a recruitment post on the site, and another that lets players enter a drawing for additional items if they create a recruitment post and successfully create a free company.
This promotion is also running until May 9th and has some pretty specific instructions, so interested fans will want to read up to be aware of all of the hoops to jump through.
