The thing about Blizzard’s Hearthstone marketing team is that they are stone cold crazy. I have the impression that they sit around the debate table spitballing ideas, and instead of throwing out the wacky ones in pursuit of something mainstream, they intentionally take the weirdest thing and just run with it. They’re like the most expensive and well-produced dad jokes ever.
I was particularly fond of the Lich King videos from the Knights of the Frozen Throne release.
