YOU THINK THIS IS A GAME?!

Gosh, the mighty have fallen when it comes to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The game isn’t hemorrhaging players like certain other titles, but it does appear to be bleeding pretty notably. How can you reverse this trend? Why, you just add in a free-to-play battle royale mode! That always works, right? It worked one time!

Players who already bought and own CS:GO will have special Prime status, which does not mean that these players will lead the Autobots but does mean that they’ll be matched against other Prime players and will gain access to a special weapon through playing the battle royale mode. That mode is dubbed Danger Zone and still includes many of the same basic mechanics for CS:GO, including weapon purchasing and rescuing hostages. Let’s see if this can rescue the game’s dipping numbers.
