Welcome back to another quick roundup of MMOs and MMO-adjacent titles you’ve probably never heard of (or at least have entirely forgotten about!).
First up: World of Dragon Nest. MMO Culture reports that Nexon’s Thai branch is working with Eyedentity Games’ Actozsoft to publish the game in the region. I had forgotten this game existed; apparently it was originally announced in 2016 and has been relatively quiet since its ChinaJoy update several years ago. MMO Culture suggests the game may now be a purely mobile offering, but either way, it might make fans happy since the original Dragon Nest game has been kicked around here in the west for the last several years.
Then there’s Echo of Soul’s new mobile spinoff. Echo of Soul has likewise spent the last few years being sunsetted, revived, and pushed around across the continents, but the mobile version, Echo of Soul RED aka EOS RED, is now slated to launch in South Korea this fall, followed by China and Japan. The whole “RED” thing is supposed to connote a more hardcore PvP feel than the “blue” toned PC game. That’s what I think of when I think of mobile games – super hardcore. Rawr.
Finally, there’s NetEase’s new mobile adventure MMORPG, Dawn of Isles – yes, another mobile MMO, but this one’s actually pretty stylish, more like a cutesy sandbox than an AFK grinder or PvP slugfest. It’s officially launched for iOS and Android.

Players can explore the world for resources to gather while choosing from an array of weapons and skills to fight in a variety of combat styles.”
