It’s been a long time coming: Mansangsoft has been working on a reboot of the sunsetted MMORPG RaiderZ since 2017, with intermittent updates along the way making it clear it was going to retool the game extensively, not just slap it back online. This week, the studio has dropped a development video that gives an overview of the game’s progress over the second quarter of the year.
“Continuous Quest Processing System – We have improved the main story quest so that you can start and finish in the UI without having to go to the NPC. Of course, will introduce a separated UI for maximizing the character’s emotion.
“Separate animation – The RaiderZ’s weapon animations were pretty not diverse so far. for example, one-handed sword and one-handed mace were using the same animation. But we thought this is not matched with the RaiderZ’s action sense in pursuit of non-targeting game. So we separated the various weapons’ animations and modified them to change depending on weapon type.
“Change passive skill – We are making various contents based on RaiderZ’s worldview. One part of that is the change of passive skill. This passive skill type exists in many games of course, but we think this passive skill system will make RaiderZ more fun. (You can check the prototype of this from our video.)”
