My cats probably don’t really know much of anything about me. They know who I am; I’ve been in their lives for the majority of those lives at this point. But they don’t understand the noises I make any more than I understand the ones they do. They have no idea about the struggles I go through. They know that they didn’t like having to move this year, but I was still there, so they ultimately shrugged it off.
They don’t know why I’m crying more again this week. They don’t have any idea what’s going on, just that something seems wrong. But to them I’m The Big Bipedal Cat Who Gets All The Food. They like cuddling me. I take care of them and give them affection. That’s what they care about. It’s unconditional love because they are shown unconditional love. Sometimes that’s as good as it’s going to get.

​Andrew Ross (@dengarsw): Oof, it’s gonna be super busy with the holidays, but I’ll be doing Pokemon Go‘s Community Day weekend with friends, and probably Mario Kart 8, Mario Party, Jackbox games, or other multiplayer games with friends. If I can find some me time, probably hit the new Pokemon Violet DLC, as I missed release due to that Palia piece needing completion.
Blaster to my head, I’ll go with a classic blueberry muffin, but I love muffins in general. A nice lemon blueberry, chocolate on chocolate, orange or lemon poppyseed, rhubarb muffins, a solid cornbread… damn, I need a muffin.
Brianna Royce (@nbrianna, blog): I remember video games… from the long, long ago, before December happened. I kid, but not really; I haven’t touched an MMO all week. I’ve just been swamped. I’m hoping to duck into Project Gorgon for the raffles and maybe some decompress time this weekend, but my hopes aren’t high.

Okay, no that’s not wholly accurate because my body won’t let me sleep, so instead I’m probably going to continue to slowly slide my way closer to that shiny spaceship in Star Trek Online, continue earning levels on my Final Fantasy XIV Summoner, and possibly hop into some Sea of Thieves PvE with my family.
Bonus: Cranberry orange is the king of muffins. It’s such a perfect combination of flavors and a good moist muffin makes it even better. Second best would probably be banana, again for the moisture factor. I like moist muffins. And I also like forcing you all to read the word “moist” over and over. Moist.
Eliot Lefebvre (@Eliot_Lefebvre, blog): Well, after another devastating loss in the clutch final moments of the year – because that’s really what I needed – I’m feeling pretty gutted and hopeless this weekend. Still, I’m trying my best to power through, which will mostly involve some FFXIV game-wise. Can next year please be, like… good?
Lemon poppyseed will always be my true love, but don’t let her know that I’m seeing that lascivious bad boy cinnamon chip on the side.
Sam Kash (@thesamkash): The Harry Potter Magic Awakened winter events just started this week so I’m starting to knock out those achievements and events. There’s a totally auto dueling mode setup in this update that I’m very surprised how much I’m enjoying. Being able to just start a battle and watch it or not has been fun. I’m also still playing through The Finals a bit but I really am garbage.
Bonus: I’m a simple kind of guy. Banana nut ftw.
Tyler Edwards (blog): Gonna be grinding the winter event in New World. Various factors have prevented me from fully participating in this event the last two years, so I’ve got three years’ worth of rewards to grab.
