“EVE Online is good and all, but you know what it really needs? A heaping dose of blockchain for play-to-earn goodness!” said nobody but delusional corporate suits who probably look like the villain in every ’80s movie. And thus we’re getting EVE Frontier, a spinoff rooted in blockchain and utilizing “smart assemblies.” Probably assemblies that went to Yale or something. I wouldn’t know; my assemblies went to a local community college.
As we watch this trainwreck-in-the-making approach the station, EVE Frontier announced that it’s bringing “Phase V” to its test server on November 7th. Interested parties are encouraged to sign up and bring all of their assemblies, even the ones that don’t have a GED, with them.
The studio said that testers spent “over nine years of time” collectively in the previous Phase IV, which wrapped up earlier this month.
EVE Frontier claims to create a simulated galaxy: “By grounding the experience in scientific principles, we want to create as real a galaxy as possible, allowing you to rely on your intuition and understanding as you navigate the Frontier.”
