Are you ready to try out some of the latest internet spaceships in Star Citizen regardless of whether they’re fully ready to go to the wider alpha or not? Then your ticket is punched with the PTU build of alpha 3.24.3, which has just opened up to all backers of the sandbox.

The new build brings in the Polaris, Starlancer MAX, Crusader Intrepid, Anvil Terrapin Medic, and two new versions of the Hornet into a flyable state, as well as a first look at the Intergalactic Aerospace Expo halls for this year, the fourth phase of the Save Stanton event, and some stability updates. There are also some polish passes for vehicles and MFD HUDs on top.

Meanwhile, the game’s latest video for the week is zeroing in on server meshing efforts for alpha 4.0. The digest mostly recounts the steps made in previous network tests that have slowly ramped up server player numbers while detailing the problems each step uncovered and the solutions CIG has used, not the least of which being a deep rewrite of some critical network code that no longer worked for the size of Star Citizen. The granular yet still approachable discussion awaits below.
