Neverwinter 30th module, Return to Pirates’ Skyhold, is live on PC and console today

As promised and foretold by publisher Arc Games, Neverwinter’s 30th module ever is officially live on PC and console simultaneously today. The module, with its wonky “As Above, So Below – Return to Pirates’ Skyhold” title, revives abandoned Neverwinter adventure zone content from way back in 2013 and revamps it for the modern playerbase. Arc (and Deca/Cryptic) call this “unvaulting.”

“What is missing must be found, and what has been lost must never be forgotten… In the As Above, So Below – Return to Pirates’ Skyhold module, a shadow has fallen across the land on the floating islands that were once the Pirates’ Skyhold. Now the time has come for you to discover what else is hidden here. Gather your crew to return to this cursed place and time, to learn the truth of the present and uncover the fate of those that succumbed to this treacherous place! With danger at every turn, are you prepared to learn the lessons of the past and follow the trail to the present?”

In addition to the “unvaulted” Pirates’ Skyhold map, players are getting six new heroic encounters, 10 new named encounters, updated classic companions (including Celeste, Makos, and the Siege Master), quick-swapping for powersets, and the overhauled Dread Vault dungeon (now called the Dread Sanctum), with three difficulty tiers and a new slate of dungeon rewards. Plus, the devs have tackled quality-of-life improvements for the guild system; specifically, there’s an improved guild log, renaming for guilds and alliances, and bulk donations for guild coffers.

Worth a note: If you’re not a big fan of the modules packed with revamped older content, 2025 will apparently have what you crave. Earlier this month, Arc told players the devs are already working on two new modules set in a new region altogether.

Brand-new trailer ahoy!
