H1Z1 publishes development roadmap

Wondering where H1Z1 is going to go after its successful pre-pre-launch? Well now there’s a handy way to tell that game’s future, as the team has published an ever-evolving roadmap on the official site.

Currently the roadmap is planned through the month of April. Upcoming additions to the game include a new male character model, workbenches, first-person Battle Royale servers, grouping, crafted armor, and the ability to gradually transform into a zombie.

H1Z1 instituted a small update today that increased zombie density and added the M9 pistol and patched in some more anti-cheater measures.

This is laughable. The game was meant to have pve from the beginning, otherwise why are there zombie npcs?

dLinden http://www.gameranx.com/updates/id/27241/article/h1z1-s-subscription-plans-dropped-for-now/ apparently they have backtracked on this idea and cancelled the idea of a subscription for the Battle Royale .

I don’t know if they will try and pull this fast one again as some point but in the immediate future it seems the Battle Royale will not require a subscription .

Skyewauker They can do a much better job to ban hackers around the globe by making a big database and block them.

They can never block them all, but you have to start somewhere.

GGL  Yeah and I’m a big fan of the concept art they’ve shown of the gear they plan to add to the game.  People will be running around in some really cool stuff down the road.
And then you get the vents like taking over the Dam Power facility to restore electricity to the map… I don’t know the specifics they plan for that, but it sounds great.
I hope the game sells another million copies. So they keep their noses on the grindstone for the foreseeable future.

Cujo H I feel ya. I’ve put in about 80ish hours so far and had a great time, but I’m sort of at the “end” of things right now, so I’ll check it out more again down the road on the development map. Still, for $20, I’ve had that much enjoyment. If I never play it again, I more than feel I got my money’s worth.

That said, I definitely do want to check it out more later because I could see this becoming a pretty deep game if they don’t eff it up when it’s in Open Beta/Full Launch.

PizzaDoh Oyjord H1Z1 has had tons of PVE servers since it launched. They’re pretty popular, too. Not my cup of tea for this style of game, but I’m glad people have them if they want them.
