The Stream Team: Building an H1Z1 fort

16

It’s survival of the fort-est! A huge part of succeeding in H1Z1 is having a safe place to stash all your survival needs. MassivelyOP’s MJ and her motorcycle helmet-sporting crew have outgrown their meager shack and need to build a larger fort. They are ready to venture out and start construction, but making themselves vulnerable for too long could cause them to lose everything! Tune in live at 8:00 p.m. to see whether they succeed or have to start over from scratch.

What: H1Z1
Who: MJ Guthrie
When: 8:00 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, April 8th, 2015

RooWoods it is definitely hard to build stuff up knowing it could be wiped any time, but at least I am getting practice and figuring out what works.

Might be interested when it gets a proper release but only if and when there are faction based pvp servers .

Ironwu For some players, the point would be the building (which looked like it could actually get quite complex after a while). Just so I can get a baseline, what additional kinds of things would you say qualify as good PvE content for a sandbox survival game?

In order to have a long-term viable PvE game, the game actually has to have long-term viable PvE CONTENT.
H1Z1 does NOT have that sort of content; simple building and zombie killing does not make a viable PvE game!

McSleaz ClassicCrime Reading about it, I did not get the impression 7 Days to Die fit the MMO mold. Not that it isn’t a good game, but it seemed the connection setup was more like Terraria than the games covered here.
I’m happy to be wrong about that if people have other info. It does look like an interesting survival game.

ClassicCrime 7 days to die is the BEST zombie survival game out there, unfortunately, massivelyop seems to almost always cover the same set of games/companies and ignores all the others.

Having recently allowed myself to watch the Walking Dead, the concept of this game interests me but I’ve lost all faith in SOEbreak.

ClassicCrime Completely agree. 7 days to die is a fantastic survival game. It definitely needs more coverage.

MostlysaneUK PvE servers already exist as well as a number of other server types to cater to several different playing styles so you could conceivably find something that will suit.
