SMITE reworks Nox and improves the Arena

Nightly.
It’s a rough ride when your main deity in SMITE gets hit with big changes; you have to learn how to play the character all over again. Hopefully, for Nox fans, the revisions in this patch are a net gain; she’s received a big rework for this patch. The Arena map has also been visually overhauled and has new buff monsters in place, meaning that it’s changed from the more familiar incarnation.

Players will also have access to the usual plethora of new skins, voice packs, and emotes to use within a match. There are also a number of items and game balance changes included with the update; you can get a decent overview of all the shifts by watching the video below, or you can read the patch notes to unpack everything piece by piece.

PurpleCopper They’re not adding fictional characters yet. He’ll be out in the pack along with Santa and the Tooth Fairy.

Atlasien Narayan PurpleCopper  I guess they could turn key figures/prophets/judges into demigods or w/e.  So characters like Noah, Moses, Samson, Isaac, Cain, Abel, Adam, Eve, Lucifer/Satan, David, Solomon, Elijah, Elisha, Joshua, etc. could be turned into “gods” who were empowered by Yahweh to destroy the false gods…  with Satan/Lucifer kinda just being allowed to have that power because Yahweh was just like “yeah whatever won’t change your fate of being crushed by my son anyway”.

Narayan PurpleCopper If you’d ever been to Vatican City, and see all of the people worshiping the statues of the saints in the main square, you’d know this has already happened.

Narayan PurpleCopper But you KNOW they’ve at least got concept art of Jesus somewhere over there. Maybe even an ability spec. I’d like to see it sometime…

Could probably build a decent roster from the various saints and named angels. Would be a lot less recognizable than the Norse/Egyptian deities to players though. Which is kind of funny in itself.

Narayan PurpleCopper  Probably never considering it’s been a dead horse joke since Smite was announced as a thing.

PurpleCopper As soon as Christianity converts to polytheism by recruiting whole bunch of gods in order to form a full pantheon that can be on par with other 7 pantheons already covered by SMITE. When will people stop asking this question for the billionth time while under the false impression that it’s witty or something?
