I can’t imagine anything more disheartening than going over to a friend’s house, knocking on his door, and being coated by burning pitch as a result. Then again, this sort of thing might be more enjoyable in video games.
Gloria Victis is getting into the spirit of pouring flaming oil on the heads of enemies with the advent of the first part of its siege system. Now if foes want to come return a Peter Frampton album or storm a castle, they’ll have to knock down the gates while avoiding a fiery hairdo for their troubles.
The newest pre-alpha patch also revamped the party system, extended the map, introduced achievements, and modified durability and repair mechanics of items. Gloria Victis also released a new pulse-pumping music track which you can hear after the break!
I’ve been meaning to get into the game after they mentioned they were upgrading the engine (because the old one felt all kinds of wrong). Hopefully much has improved since I last checked in!
Sweet!
Wow, that soundtrack is nice :)
They should get Kate Upton to do some commercials for them, raise awareness.
GV has some fun stuff, and it’s one I had considered looking into, but it just seems like it lacks something for me, personally, just yet. Still, they have a fair number of cool ideas.
As for burning oil… sand would be a better choice, especially for games like GV touting some level of realism. Oil was expensive, and sand sticks in armor really well!
