ArcheAge elaborates on the game’s post-server merge environment

Won't this be the opposite of fun.

If the land rush at launch of ArcheAge was the least fun you’d had since you started playing the game, you probably don’t want to take part in it again. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what you’re going to need to do in the post-merge environment. New posts on the process of server evolution have clarified that every character post-merge will be placed in the starting zones with tutorials disabled to promote land rushing. So you’ll want to fight your way through and get out there promptly if you want some land.

The full set of questions also includes more information about compensation for player resources, including refunds for certain materials and taxes paid. The developers also clarified that land owners will get a single compensation pack regardless of size or number of lands controlled; the average landowner will be coming out ahead, overall, with the compensation pack.

MinionDave Archage’s first NGE was the Korean 1.0 patch. Only people who played in korean, japan, Ru releases or early na/eu alpha would have seen the what game was like before it.   After Trion applied that patch in alpha, the first big wave of people wanting refunds occured.

These cries are the reason most mmo developers never let non-instanced housing into their games. They don’t want to deal with the headache. Hate it or not, I’m glad ArcheAge exists. At least they were brave enough.

Tridus Dandurin LordSolarMacharius Armsbend It would be interesting if someone does a study on the psychology of ArcheAge players. It was absolutely the most toxic community I’ve ever seen. It almost rubbed off on me irl. I was always angry, trollish even. It’s a good thing I got out of that game early and made the switch to a game with a more relaxed community. Never have I seen a game that treated abhorrent behavior as acceptable gameplay.

As for the soap operas, I once criticized my former guild for being disorganized in pvp in a polite way akin to constructive criticism and the guild leader had a primadonna meltdown. So yeah soap opera.

Worst. Community. Ever.

Yeah I am done with this game. Cancelling my accounts. Paid subs just to have my property yanked away. I put a lot of time and money into it and wont be paying or playing again.

I sure its possible not to go this route but every single person I know that has played Archeage has ended up not only paying a subscription and spent money in the cash shop as well . That and the fact anyone can attack you even players of your own faction put me off because those types of games end up being gankfests . As much as I love my world pvp I love it to be faction based where you know who is on your side and who is not .

This is the saddest thing I have read in a while. But honestly not surprising. I played AA for three months at launch and then had to get out. This game could have been freaking AMAZING!!! But labor points, an actual NEED to pay a sub AND buy cash shop items to compete, and Trion have turned it into one of the worst mmo experiences I have had to date.  I feel really bad for the people that stuck it out hoping it would get better.

Most game companys would do everything they can to avoid their own little SWG NGE but trion is hell bent on doing their own  , everything that can be done wrong they Trion is doing wrong its just a master class in how to screw over your players and wreck a good game at the same time . I am now totally convinced Trion is doing this on purpose to get out of the Archeage contract , nobody not even trion is this stupid surely .

SOLIDAge It’s fun.  Just ignore half the rhetoric here on this site.  People are still butthurt over the launch.
