WildStar prepares for the Shade’s Eve event

Everyone just likes burning scarecrows.

Long before the time of players in WildStar, the first humans on Cassus were stricken by a deadly plague. A single young girl was found to have natural antibodies that served to neutralize the contagion, but the idea of the plague being spread by a malicious figure known as Jack Shade had already penetrated the consciousness of the settlers. That serves as the legend behind Shade’s Eve, but there’s plenty more for players to do with the actual event itself.

Players will be able to explore a new instance, new daily quests, and new public events in order to win holiday-themed decor items, costume pieces, and mounts. The capital cities of both factions are decked out for the celebration as well, although there are whispers here and there that everyone should be much more afraid of the event itself. You can watch the trailer below; the event proper starts on October 19th.
