WildStar prepares for the Shade’s Eve event

24
Everyone just likes burning scarecrows.

Long before the time of players in WildStar, the first humans on Cassus were stricken by a deadly plague. A single young girl was found to have natural antibodies that served to neutralize the contagion, but the idea of the plague being spread by a malicious figure known as Jack Shade had already penetrated the consciousness of the settlers. That serves as the legend behind Shade’s Eve, but there’s plenty more for players to do with the actual event itself.

Players will be able to explore a new instance, new daily quests, and new public events in order to win holiday-themed decor items, costume pieces, and mounts. The capital cities of both factions are decked out for the celebration as well, although there are whispers here and there that everyone should be much more afraid of the event itself. You can watch the trailer below; the event proper starts on October 19th.

All Shop items except one is either purchasable with Omnibits or NCoin. Omnibits are earned by playing the game and NCoin is purchased with real $. You’re not required to purchase Ncoin unless you want to try your luck at Madame Fay.

Just got to try this instance/area and WOW! i mean it’s genuinely creepy, it has some really cool gameplay elements as well, it’s what Holiday Events should be: a fun distraction that give some quick rewards without mega grinding and to be honest – the Lore behind Shade’s eve makes it even better.

P.S. Shade’s eve-ified Capital Cities are incredible with the music and decor items!

Pepperzine I see the backseat article police are handing out badges again ROFL.  Wildstar is the F2P new hotness right now, why wouldn’t MOP report on it?  With this transition to F2P for the game, continued exposure on sites like this is important.  Nine articles in seven days is nowhere near excessive, esp. given the # of articles in a week they put up.

But thanks for aggregating all the articles for us. *one thumb up*

ArtemisiaWS Radfist Rebel Engie Pepperzine  You can unlock that with CREDD / loyalty points, and you get it quite early into the loyalty points scheme. 2000 cosmic points and you get full access to guilds and circles, that’s basically 1 month sub or 1 CREDD and you have access to that forever.

Radfist Rebel Engie Pepperzine Well, not everything. I was sad that to unlock the social functions (be able to join more than 1 circle, be able to create a guild or circle) you need to be subbed. And social is the biggest thing in a mmo, I could live without the other unlocks but this imho should be an unlock.

Pepperzine Every time a game enters F2P, gets an expansion or is close to launch, this same ridiculous argument pops its head out of the ground.  Here is the deal, Wildstar has news at the moment, this is a news site, therefore it has a higher proportion of Wildstar articles.  They have also been hammering GW2 because it has an expansion coming out.  They did the same thing with the FFXIV expansion.
If you don’t want to read articles about a  certain game, then don’t? It really isn’t that hard.

Rebel Engie Pepperzine Not sure how that would work considering you can buy everything with in-game earned currency.
