Perfect World has just released the official gameplay trailer for Neverwinter’s Underdark release.

Featuring a brand-new story written by New York Times Bestselling Author R.A. Salvatore, Neverwinter: Underdark will introduce a 10-player battle with the dreaded Demogorgon, two end-game skirmishes, new gear and a revamp of the Tarmalune Trade Bar Store. Adventurers will stand ground with iconic characters including Drizzt Do’Urden, Bruenor Battlehammer, Thibbledorf Pwent and more as they battle some of the most ferocious demons in the Dungeons & Dragons franchise.

The module officially releases on November 17th for PC players. Xbox One Gold players, however, will be waiting until next year.

We spoke with Salvatore last month about his work on the game. Check out the trailer below!

paragonlostinspace And i love the controls. They work wonders for the kind of actioned up RPG they are aiming for, in contrast to the likes of Wildstar, Skyforge, even Tera. GW2 may be included as well, but their recent action controls addition just need a but of polish (yeah right, Arenanet and polishing existing features. I am an eternal optimist).

teppic Yeah it kinda hit a snag with elemental evil. Rather than giving us the progression tree we had with every module thus far they slapped 10 extra levels on, cycled a bunch of zones, made the new mobs insanely powerful, and nerfed self-healing into the ground.
On top of that all new gear is “progression” gear that you need to feed other gear to “level” up, punctuated with a increasing chance of failure that consumes some kind of scarce item anyways (unless you spend real money on some protection item).

se7engames Given that we have yet to see a NPC bard, i think it will be a while. Usually they put in a prominent NPC of a certain class before they make it playable. And the last such NPC was a druid, iirc.

Still no Bard class…  :(     As soon as the bard class surfaces… i’m going to play this game.

ApathyCurve No, that’s just Strainface the Pastamancer. “Linguini Expelliarmus!”

Updates are great, but this is really just a couple of skirmishes. Development has slowed down a lot in the game, since mod 6 it’s really just been daily grind content, nothing significant. A shame as the combat is great and it has a lot of potential.

Really wish I could stand the UI with this game, just to fudge around in the game world. I can’t stand the mouse controls/look/move and the key binds. :(

Damonvile Hmm definitely not, but at the same time it isn’t perfect.  That being said Neverwinter’s got some pretty solid combat overall even among the current crop of action combat MMOs.  The game lacks in lots of other areas but the fighting tends to be fun.
