The year 2015 will go down in memory as a tumultuous time to be a fan of EverQuest and EverQuest II. Even disregarding all of the updates that the games themselves had, you can’t distance the titles from the ballyhoo around Daybreak Games and the long radio silence surrounding EverQuest Next. So it seems apropos that the teams behind both of the games took the time to just send a simple message to fans: “Thank you.”
Yes, that’s it. No big announcements, no reveals, no looking forward, just a “thank you” to dedicated players and community members. And that’s pretty great in and of itself.
And at the very least, maybe they’ll take your mind off the DDoS attacks Daybreak’s games have been suffering over the holiday.
