Maybe you don’t give a second thought to the mobs that you kill, but rest assured that there is a lot of thought and careful design that goes into each one. In a new Guild Wars 2 dev video, the creature team discusses the intricacies of animating and crafting the monsters that it made for Heart of Thorns.
The team also addressed the pressing topic of mushroom butts: “Players have asked why mushroom enemies happen to have such well-defined posteriors — the anatomy makes sense for a mushroom with two legs, especially since there aren’t any two-legged mushrooms in real life to compare them to.”
