There have been a lot of changes in Final Fantasy XI over the last month or so. Heck, even if you played at the end of its last big story and then left, there have been changes to the game. Do you want to explore those changes? Because you can with the game’s Return Home to Vana’diel campaign, running alongside the game’s anniversary event from May 13th to May 23rd. It’s a chance to pop back in, see old friends, and try the game out without having to subscribe.
Players who jump in can also take advantage of several other advantages during the time period. For one thing, players will have access to doubled experience and capacity point gains during the event; for another, the event will be taking place with another repeat login campaign, which offers those who dutifully log in each day the chance to scuttle away on a crab mount. There are also updates planned for Records of Eminence so that players can strut about in item level 119 gear, making the high-level experience that much easier. Combine that with the patch planned for May 10th, and veterans of Vana’diel will have plenty of reasons to check out the state of the modern game.
