The Daily Grind: Do you have a personal vendetta against any MMO enemies?

The Forgotten Realms is still boring and generic as heck, though.

I will forever hate certain enemies in certain games. No matter how long it’s been, I still hate fighting the Circle of Thorns at low levels in City of Heroes. I will go out of my way to slaughter Goblins in Final Fantasy XI after all of the camp aggro I acquired over the years. Every so often, my main characters in World of Warcraft go into Shadow Labyrinth, kill the bosses, and then leave without looting anything, because I hate that dungeon and everything therein. You get the idea.

The obvious conclusion to be drawn from all of this is that I have severe anger management issues and some overwhelming emotional problems, which, yeah, that’s pretty accurate. But it’s also pretty accurate to say that these enemies annoyed me in such a way that I am still eager to kill them just to get my jollies. What about you? Do you have a personal vendetta against any MMO enemies? Is it something you still pursue with vigor, or just a case of preferring to fight that enemy first if you can get away with it?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
