Elder Scrolls Online plots a course to Morrowind’s closed beta

The Elder Scrolls Online is counting down the days until the Morrowind expansion — but if you can’t wait until June, you might be interested to know that the expansion will land on the test server much sooner than that, in closed beta form.

“We’re excited to announce that The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind is coming to our Public Test Server in just a couple weeks!” ZeniMax declared this afternoon. “However, this time we’re doing things a bit differently, and we will be holding a closed beta for ESO: Morrowind. While everyone will be able to help test the base game content on the PTS, any content included in ESO: Morrowind will be invite-only. In addition, everyone logging onto the PTS will be required to agree to a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) upon login.”

The studio says that “participation in previous PTS cycles is a major factor” in helping the studio decide who gets in, which kinda makes sense. If you’ve been a productive little tester for the last couple of years, then congrats on your impending invite to Vvardenfell!
