It’s been a bit of a slow start for Ashes of Creation’s Apocalypse mode, which was meant to launch yesterday following the deployment of Intrepid’s new website, but as the game’s Twitter account chronicled, that didn’t quite happen thanks to “an issue on the deployment.”
However, as of this morning the site is live and downloading of the game has begun, though the game servers aren’t actually up just yet.
Update: website, registration and downloading the game is live! We are working still right now to turn the servers live by this afternoon PST. Everyone here appreciates your patience and we will update you when we get ready to launch the servers. ❤️ from Intrepid.

When launched, this alpha battle royale mode will be a free-to-play, openly accessible test arena for everyone to experience part of Ashes of Creation, whether or not you backed the game in Kickstarter or purchased a package from the website since. Apocalypse, Intrepid has stressed, is not a replacement for the MMORPG; work on the real MMO continues as this test rolls out, and players will accrue perks for their MMO account in the battle royale.
The servers have been brought down to allow us to further assess the collected data and make necessary improvements to all systems. We will be opening the beta testing again tomorrow and will update you on Twitter and Discord ❤️❤️❤️
