Final Fantasy XI rolls out the Spring Alter Ego Expo on February 1

It's a tiny little sprout thing. It might kill you.

If you think about it a little, the trusts in Final Fantasy XI are a bit like the eponymous pokemon. They fight alongside you and help you clear battles you would otherwise be unable to touch, and some of them are a lot harder to get than others. Fortunately, you don’t need to chase along after Gilgamesh with a Master Ball and a dogged certainty because you can instead just take part in the Spring Alter Ego Expo starting on February 1st.

During the expo, players can obtain a number of otherwise difficult-to-attain alter egos: Gilgamesh, Margret, Maximilian, Leonoyne, Ferreous Coffin, Kayeel-Payeel, Kukki-Chebukki, Lhu Mhakaracca, Elivira, Mihli Aliapoh, Tenzen, Valaineral, Joachim, Noillurie, and Elivira. Whether you’re a newer player looking to fill needed roles, a veteran looking to complete your collection, or just a fan of having more names on your Trust list, you’ll be well-served to hunt down the character ciphers in question for your roster. Do try to avoid shouting “Mihli, I choose you!” whilst summoning, though.
