Would you like to hear a joke? Here we go: Anthem loot. Yes, it’s basically something no one is happy with, but the bright side is that the designers are also not happy with it and are still making changes to the system. So those of you who are upset that the loot changes have failed to fix the problems, don’t worry, no one responsible for the design thinks that the problems have been fixed. Head of live service Chad Robertson stressed that significant changes are planned for the next few months, with smaller and more immediate changes coming sooner, although details were not included.
Community manager Jesse Anderson also stated on the game’s Reddit forum that the team is working to address things as quickly as possible, but there are some issues that aren’t easy to communicate; regardless, the team is focused on collecting feedback and communicating as quickly as possible. None of which will fix disappointing loot drops now, of course, but hopefully it will reassure people that the fixes are being devised.
In the next few months, we’re expecting to make significant changes, but we’re starting with some incremental ones so we can better navigate that evolution. Our goal is to ensure the best possible player experience.
