Neverwinter is so fun to level up in. But once you hit level 70 it really sucks. The mobs in those zones are way overpowered and attack in groups most of the time. The game becomes this really bad chasing gear just to stay alive kind of thing. But going from 1 to 65 is so much fun. It’s really too bad it’s like this.

I have been thinking more about MJ’s mind flayer race/class idea. I’m on board for this as a crowd control character.

“Normally, a mind flayer would use its mind blast ability to stun a few foes and then drag them away to feed. Once it had its victims, it would attach all of its tentacles to the head of one of its prey. Then, the mind flayer sucked out the brain, instantly killing the creature, as long as it only had one head. The mind flayer used its other spells mainly to enslave its minions and keep them under total control. It also used its spells on the battlefield.”

And I shall name him…Fred. :P

Yeah. Downloaded it and tried it out. This MMO is really not aging very well. Graphics are really kind of blech. Animations and effects not so good. Seeing lag and other performance issues.

And I still really do NOT like the animation locking!

And all the Cash Shop spam is just so immersion breaking. Unlike STO, no way to turn it off. :(

Not my type of MMO, so it is a pass from me.

I had not played the game in a while before going back in last night. Graphics don’t bother me much, but I did leave the game because the stories did not really grab me. I’m probably going to give it another try soon to see if much has changed.

I noticed the spam on the screen, too. I am surprised it does not have the same options as STO to turn off the fly-in alerts or whatever they were called there. It is one of the first things I change in the options for a new captain.
