Warcraft III: Reforged might have missed its initial launch date of “by the end of 2019,” but not by much; the game is still slated to come out on January 28th. Before that happens, though, wouldn’t you like to see how the game’s improved models for the Night Elf faction look? Because you can do that right now on the official site, showing off four main story heroes (Illidan, Cenarius, Tyrande, and Maiev) along with several of the racial units in all their glory.
As with the other models, there’s a distinct visual flair to these units that’s far more detailed than their original incarnations but also a different sort of style from the World of Warcraft races that were obviously derived from these same units. It’s an interesting shift in art styles that you can see in action for yourself if you want to take a look before launch and have no interest in the game’s ongoing multiplayer test.
