Legen - wait for it -

Yesterday’s leaks about a new Star Trek Online episode starring some big-name franchise stars have now been proven true, as today PWE and Cryptic announced the long-running MMO will be graced with the voices and visages of Jeri Ryan and Sonequa Martin-Green in The Measure of Mortality.

“This episode returns Captains to Excalbia, from the Original Series episode The Savage Curtain,” the studios say. “The Excalbians have decided to put on another test of Good and Evil, and your characters will play a major part in it. But you won’t be alone. Returning to the game for the first time since Delta Rising, Jeri Ryan portrays a Seven of Nine that’s different from any we’ve seen before. And for the first time ever, Sonequa Martin-Green joins the cast to bring Michael Burnham to life! These episodes are a love letter to the past and future of Star Trek Online, and we think you’ll love this jaunt down memory lane.”

The episode is live today on PC as part of the Legacy update, with console slated for March 3rd. PWE is also talking up the new ship:

“The Anniversary Event also comes with a major prize – the Khitomer Alliance Battlecruiser. This new ship, the first to combine Federation and Klingon technology, is a sign of the peace that’s beginning to dawn across the galaxy. You can earn it by participating in the returning Omega Molecule Stabilization Event, by playing The Measure of Morality, or by participating in the brand new Task Force Operation, To Hell With Honor. Bring your starships to J’Ula’s shipyards on a distant moon, and battle one of the largest enemies we’ve ever created in the game.”

We’re streaming the anniversary missions tonight, so pop back over to our Twitch channel at 8 p.m. EST tonight for that!

You’ve gotta give this game credit for getting AAA voice acting involved…

For sure,

Still its a little sad not one of the captains have made a direct contribution though :( we’ve only heard them via dialogue lifted from the shows unlike most of the other cast.

Well they did also get Jason Issacs (Captain Lorca in STD S1) for two missions and a TF in the Age of Discovery piecemeal expansion.

The irony, that the ONLY one to contribute VO is the villain lol

They are really good episodes although some of the ground combats are a little OP I kissed much ground lol

The TFO was a lot of fun too, still just basically shooting everything in sight but this one is spaceships in an atmosphere against ground targets and other ships which is a nice change of pace. (Should be noted it only awards Fleet and Discovery marks though which is a shame, was hoping it would award ANY type of chosen mark for the anniversary at least)/

Yeah i don’t think i’ve ever died on the ground in game as many times as i have during those 2 missions. Definitely a bit overtuned.

You need to show the rest of the scene, where Yarnek and Abe are standing to one side and trying not to look embarrassed. :P

Hopefully you have time to do the daily stuff. The Omega Molecule mission is still there, and if you get lucky with the locations you can do that in fifteen minutes or so. (It’s still dreadful, but at least it doesn’t take long.)
