Neverwinter’s Feast of Lanterns brings you all the rats you could ever want

According to the Chinese zodiac, 2020 is the Year of the Rat. I feel this is a marketing challenge for the year, as rats are not always the most beloved of rodents. At least Neverwinter is leaning into the theme with this year’s Feast of Lanterns.

The event for the Lunar New Year begins on January 30th and continues through February 6th. During this time, players can earn coins and spend them on transmute weapons or the rat pup companion. As this includes finding and comforting dogs scared by the fireworks, we can get fully behind the effort of this festival. Poor doggies.

Last week, Neverwinter dropped its Infernal Descent module, adding a new pen-and-paper-inspired campaign into the MMO. “Adventurers will make way through the first layer of the Nine Hells in Neverwinter: Infernal Descent with a brand new campaign, a new endgame dungeon, and much more,” Cryptic said.
