Corepunk talks about monster camps and delays its next gameplay video debut

The more I think about it, the more I realize that the heroes of MMOs can be the rudest people imaginable. Consider the poor monsters of developing isometric MMORPG Corepunk: Here they are, minding their own business, enjoying time in their camps, when along comes a murder blender to blow them up and take their loot.

Players will likely want to become murder blenders when they run into monster camps for the challenge as well as the loot. Each monster camp has a different difficulty level, and monsters in camps can have different variables like unique skills, a leader among the group, and the promise of AI that assists each other and fights as a coordinated team. Of course, the harder the camp, the greater the rewards, so it might be best for players to team up if they want to ruin some monsters’ camping outing.

In other Corepunk news, the gameplay preview video that was set to premiere this month has to be delayed. “Working remotely has slowed down our workflow more than we expected, but probably we wouldn’t have been able to meet the deadline we set for ourselves anyway,” explains the post. Expect a shiny video in June, with a longer gameplay video due sometime in August.
