It’s been some time since we had reason to focus down on The Cycle, the in-development survival sandbox/battle royale shooter that seeks to shake up the routine battle royale formula. Recently, the devs have been working on the game’s third season and have opened up applications for an NDA-protected playtest of the content.

This playtest is due to run on Thursday, July 2nd, for a couple of hours and is open to anyone who cares to sign up. It also should be mentioned that this is a separate PTS environment from the game’s normal early access build, which is free to play on the Epic Games Store.

This public test comes after the devs announced a delay of season three’s release, which was done in the interest of adding more polish and clearing out bugs. “Ater discussing between our teams, we agreed that we’re not quite ready to fire it up yet,” explains one part of a Twitter thread. “We want to make sure everything will be ready as can be so we can best match your expectations.”

Those who are interested in trying out season 3 in this new PTS can get details and sign up on the official website.
