Check out this fan-made interactive map of New World to help your testing

So you’re out in the field in New World, and you’re not lost per se, but you’re frustrated. All you want is a lynx! You need some lynx! But you keep not finding them. Where can you go to find a lynx? Perhaps this new interactive map made by fans and for fans at Newworld-map.com can help you out! It tracks things like that, so anyone desperately seeking cats may use it to locate a new furry friend. (Although, like… that lynx will probably not be your friend.)

Of course the map does track things other than just critters. It also tracks other points of interest like supply crates, mineral veins, enemy camps, and so forth. It’s quite useful if you want to plot out where you’re exploring and have a desire to know what you’re likely to find once you get there. Check the whole thing out even if you’re not in the preview, in fact. It’s very nicely made.

Update 9/15/2020
An update on the map’s main page says that “with the end of the preview, NewWorld-Map.com goes back to private mode to allow the mappers to keep the data up to date without breaking the NDA” for the next alpha and that it will return for the beta and release.” If you need to poke around the map in the meantime, NewWorldFans has a really good one that’s still up! Cheers to Takyn for pointing it out to us. ;)
