Super, good call.

The month of January is almost over, but there’s still some news to be heard from the devs of Ashes of Creation in the form of their monthly development update stream, which gives fans and backers a progress report on what’s being worked on and what’s coming next for the MMORPG.

In terms of updates, the team at Intrepid Studios is working on iterating on feedback from AOC’s last playtest as well as working on better hairstyles, reworking starter gear, and improving visuals like the water shader and world lighting. Speaking of the game world, the team is also working on a hilltops biome while the stream confirmed that the full game will feature 20 biomes in total.

As for the game’s next testing phase, the next milestone test for alpha one is set to begin on Friday, February 19th. Incidentally, alpha one packs could possibly return to the game store by the end of February, which is also the same month that the game’s website and cash shop will be updated.
