Palia announces alpha test plans for sometime in the first half of 2022

We’re all just going to have to accept that game devs are going to use Discord as a means to disseminate news. That’s where Palia, the in-development social-leaning MMO, decided to announce its rough plans to open alpha testing in the first part of next year. As opposed to, say, crowing it from every social media rooftop. That’d just be silly.

As the post notes, Singularity six have learned that there is “so much more work to do” on the game from its pre-alpha test, which means alpha testing will have to be held back until the first half of 2022. The Q&A session also talked about other matters such as the creation of minigames, balancing fast travel convenience with slow paced travel of the game world, a lot of thought about accessibility options, and crafting a smaller world map with lots of things for players to do over creating a sprawling and massive open world.

More details are likely to come in the later months. Ideally, in places other than Discord.
