Apparently there’s something of a little narrative going on in Hearthstone, as the Murder at Castle Nathria expansion has seen Sylvanas accused of the crime. Why does this matter? Because it’s tied to a new mini-set coming on Tuesday, September 27th, called Maw and Disorder, which brings along more cards and new mechanics to the expansion.

Players can look forward to a total of 35 new cards when the mini-set lands, including Accusation spells, new infusions, and the promise of more synergies for players to take advantage of. Players can find these new cards in Nathria card packs or they can purchase the full set if they wish.

Cards will be revealed in the days leading up to the release, while the patch that brings the mini-set online will also have some new Mercenaries mode content to look forward to. Those who want to see the card reveals are invited to keep eyes on Hearthstone’s Twitter account.

Activision-Blizzard is considered a controversial gaming company owing to a long string of scandals over the last few years, including the Blitzchung boycott, mass layoffs, labor disputes, and executive pay fiasco. In 2021, the company was sued by California for fostering a work environment rife with sexual harassment and discrimination, the disastrous corporate response to which compounded Blizzard’s ongoing pipeline issues and the widespread perception that its online games are in decline. Multiple state and federal agencies are investigating the company as employees unionize and call for Bobby Kotick’s resignation. As of 2022, the company is being acquired by no less than Microsoft.
