Welcome back to another quick roundup of MMOs and MMO-adjacent multiplayer titles you’ve (probably) never heard of! This edition is mostly smaller-scale multiplayer, but maybe something will pique our MMO gamers’ interest.
Zombie Within – Snail Games announced this new “multiplayer supernatural social deduction game” just this past week and just in time for Halloween. This is small-scale multiplayer, note, aimed at just six people at a time, and apparently it shares mechanics in common with West Hunt. Steam early access is expected early next year.
Wild Card Football – Is this an online NFL game using Colin Kaepernick front and center of its website? Yes sir it is. Saber Interactive promises a “pick-up-and-play arcade-style football game featuring 7v7 team-focused gameplay with the unique Wild Card system that lets you change the course of the action in an instant with special power-ups and rule-breaking abilities” – with pro players and availability on PC and console.
Bish Bash Bots – This cutesy “co-op party mayhem” title looks picture-perfect for occupying MJ and Chris, and conveniently it’s just launched this past week on PC and console: “Perfect for playing with friends locally or online, with 1-4 players supported, Bish Bash Bots is a co-op party game that merges the strategic planning of tower defense with the immediacy of fun and frantic brawling that sees you and your buddies smashing rogue robots across the battlefield.”
Silica – Finally, we come to Bohemia Interactive’s Silica, which is actually not a new title, just new to our pages. The company characterizes it as a FPS/RTS blend, and it’s notable right now because of its recent Air Units update – its first since early access began in May. “It includes 9 new aircraft for both human factions as well as the aliens in game’s flagship Strategy mode with fully implemented AI, the ability to construct relevant structures for air units for both factions,” Bohemia says.
