Dual Universe completed its Kickstarter crowdfunding drive in October 2016. Some of those backer tiers included physical schwag that would be mailed to player homes. That hasn’t happened, however, with developer Novaquark laying the blame on shipping costs and shipping partner woes. That almost eight year-long dry spell without an official t-shirt appears to be nearing an end, as the studio is proudly pronouncing that shipping of physical rewards is “nearing completion.”
Specifically, silver tier packages have already started to ship, while gold and sapphire packages “are almost ready to go.” Those who backed the sandbox at ruby, emerald, and kyrium levels “are processing,” with Novaquark hoping to provide more details soon. In the meanwhile, the studio is asking these backers to verify their mailing addresses.
This is the only major news out of the building sandbox title at the moment: Readers will remember that its last major content patch went out in June, while the game otherwise sent fans off on a Golden Goober treasure hunt, engaged a boost to talent point generation in December, and has been doing its usual player-run events and player build highlights on Twitter, all marking a bit of a subdued start from the devs the players to the MMO’s 2024.
