Pantheon Rise of the Fallen discusses its first season progress and reception, season two plans, and monetization

The first season of development and testing for Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen continues to roll forth, and with players getting their hands on the current version of the pre-alpha MMORPG, there have been several fresh questions raised by them, which has prompted yet another Q&A video from Visionary Realms.

The video first opens by confirming that a bugfix with XP earnings and loot tables should be coming soon, though it will necessitate what is hoped to be the only character wipe for this first season. Otherwise the devs appear to be very pleased with how this new testing format is going, while players are reportedly very supportive of the switch and more class abilities being added. The devs also point out that they have a good idea of what season two will offer up in terms of its next location.

With the seasonal testing comes a question of whether there will be seasonal monetization, such as a battle pass. The devs called that idea not possible right now, primarily because they want to ensure there’s value for the existing pledge tiers, but it is a conversation that has occurred within the studio and is an idea that may be considered when “something will dawn on [the devs] that might make a bit more sense” – especially since the term “battle pass” carries a lot of baggage, as the devs put it.

Most of the other answers discuss later feature plans including adding lore, making the world seamless, introduction of an auction house and brokering system, a little bit about the Summoner and Bard classes, how consumables should work, and adding a loot system once more dungeons come online.
