The multiplayer PvP-focused medieval brawler Mordhau doesn’t often hit our news desk except when it’s promising to fight toxicity or when modders transform the title wholesale, but it’s been going on for five years running, which means developer Triternion is going to celebrate by unleashing demons on its playerbase. The digital kind, not literal ones; the studio has presumably not found ways to sic real demons on its existing players.
Say hello to Demon Horde, an update to the PvE horde mode arriving April 29th that (obviously) will bring demonic foes to fight, along with revamped maps, inventory system enhancements, skill tree adjustments, the introduction of new NPC adversaries, and new weapons including a blunderbuss. The new mode will be alongside an anniversary event that’s scheduled to run between April 29th and May 13th, with extra gold, extra XP, and an exclusive emblem and banner to earn for the duration of the event. More details are promised later when it all arrives later in the month, including the update’s patch notes.
