Final Fantasy XIV brings back the Make it Rain campaign with an Imp-possible reward

How you feel about the reward from this year’s Make it Rain campaign in Final Fantasy XIV will depend on how you feel about the imps from Final Fantasy VI. If you love those weird little guys and the way you could make a character into a turbo Dragoon with specific equipment and the Imp spell, well, this year is just what you’ve been waiting for. If you have a deep and abiding hatred of them, possibly owing to Ultros imping the party during a fight with him in the Hildibrand line, your feelings may be more mixed.

Yes, we know that they’re really “supposed to be” kappa from Japanese mythology. The costume is still called an imp suit and the quest title references imps. Move on.

Of course, even if you don’t want to dress up like an imp when the campaign starts up on May 15th, you can also get a catuar table and outdoor clock, or just reap the benefits of doubled MGP. So even if you don’t want to imp about, it should imp-rove your experience in the Gold Saucer! Eh? Eh? Come on, give us a laugh; we get to make imp puns only every so often. Imps are oddly uncommon these days!
