V Rising is taking ‘a brief respite’ before working on Update 1.1

Now that Stunlock Studios has the PC and PS5 release of its vampiric survival sandbox V Rising behind it, the studio is taking a few moments to both look back and ahead in a dev blog by recalling the 1.0 launch and providing a vague look at what’s next.

The vast majority of the blog is about the full release, with nods to the dev team’s efforts and wider player reception, all cut through with a sense of pride, achievement, and thankfulness for the community that’s supported the title.

The final couple of paragraphs note that the team is pausing to “take a breath, assess, and then let [their] dark machinations roll once more” as it collects feedback and data to considers what direction to go for the game’s post-launch 1.1 update. As such, there are no solid details for the content beyond it being a side chapter of new experiences rather than any sort of major overhaul.

Furthermore, Stunlock appears to be in no rush to make this next update happen soon. Readers will remember that the effort to bring the survivalbox to 1.0 took nearly an entire year to make. But then, considering how well-received the full release has been, that’s possibly for the best.

“We will move forward at a healthy pace, making sure we’re not rushing our ideas, allowing us to do our best as developers,” reads the post. “After a brief respite, we will emerge once more with fresh minds, prepared to spread our wings once again and soar into the future that will be V Rising 1.1.”
