If you were hoping to join Lord of the Rings Online’s Mordor server stress test today, you’re about to be disappointed as it’s been postponed.
The original plan was to open Mordor on Monday, then kick off a stress test for the wraith event today, running through the afternoon of July 3rd. The goal was to try to break Mordor and test “the capabilities of the European-located server” as the devs spawned Ringwraiths – that’s the new open-world boss content coming with the new legendary servers. But last night, the Standing Stone Games team postponed the event.
“Unfortunately a build issue is preventing us from opening Mordor tonight, and our stress test planned for 3pm Eastern tomorrow is delayed. We will have more info on timing when we can. Mordor could open with a stress test late tomorrow afternoon Eastern.”
Meanwhile, SSG is also continuing to test the new and improved co-op cooking and prospecting crafting event coming in update 41; the latest beta update tweaks crafting mat requirements and fixes several bugs with recipes and quest advancement.
