Sure, your MMO is cool, but does it have its own comic book? Oh pipe down, City of Heroes players. We hear you. Anyway, RuneScape is joining this rarified tier of online RPGs that have received their own comic book line, thanks to Titan Comics.
The series, which debuts this October 9th, is called RuneScape: Untold Tales of the God Wars and will be a four-part miniseries with several cover artists including RuneScape’s own Lead Concept Artist Dave Barker.
“Expanding on the fan-favorite God Wars dungeon questline, this new comic book series will delve into the Temple of Lost Ancients, set during the catastrophic and iconic God Wars — where four warring armies fight for control of the Godsword, the only weapon capable of killing a deity,” the press release stated.
You can pre-order the first edition on Titan’s website. Players who pick up a physical copy of the comic will get a code for 200 Runecoins to use in the MMO.
