World of Warcraft aims a round of class balance adjustments (and yes, nerfs) at August 13

Oh... that's disappointing.

It’s time once again to hem and haw about classes in World of Warcraft. A patch full of balance tweaks is on the way on Tuesday, August 13th, but Blizzard has posted the patch notes ahead of time in order to give players time to digest what’s coming.

The majority of these adjustments appear to fall on the nerf side of the scale, with bonks to Death Knight, Beast Mastery Hunter, Windwalker Monk, and Holy Paladin, though there are some buffs to other specs and abilities interspersed through it all, and some classes like most Mage specs, Druid, and Demon Hunter were raised up.

Obviously the playerbase has some Opinions to share across social media and the forums, and chatter across the board is about what you’d expect: Most are grumpy about the nerfs that are incoming, while others are offering some glee at some very targeted updates to certain abilities and procs. Generally that means that players should probably read the whole thing over for their specific situation and brace for impact.
