Elder Scrolls Online’s update 43 has brought home tours to PlayStation and Xbox

Elder Scrolls Online players on console are finally joining their PC and Mac friendos today as update 43 rolls out to Xbox and PlayStation consolers. As we noted on a recent episode of the MOP Podcast, the core feature of the patch is actually the home tours system that encourages players to decorate, showcase, and allow each other to tour the player-crafted houses in the game. Apparently there was some backlash about the system from PC players who wanted effort put into other parts of the housing system, but for players on console without access to mods, this ought to be a huge treat.

“Update 43 introduces one of the most anticipated new features for Tamriel’s housing enthusiasts in Home Tours, allowing players to explore and admire the creativity of Tamriel’s residents. With Home Tours, players will be able to tour fully decorated and personalized player-owned homes through a curated ‘Recommend’ list, or a free form Browse list. The ‘Recommend’ tab will highlight top-rated player homes as well as newer created homes, providing easy access for those interested in viewing standout designs. Players can also add any home to their favorites, making it simple to revisit these impressive creations whenever they wish.”

If you’re not a big fan of housing, welp, there’s stuff for you too: more maps and baddies for the Infinite Archive system, plus multiple quality-of-life fixes.
