I know you’ll be shocked to hear this, but it’s Halloween season! And pretty much every MMORPG you care about is doing something festive for the spookytimes – including The Elder Scrolls Online. Over in Tamriel, it’s called the Witches Festival, and it kicks off next week.

“This year’s Witches Festival begins next Thursday, October 24 and runs until Wednesday, November 6 at 10AM EST. During this spoopy seasonal event, you can claim ghoulishly good event-specific rewards including Plunder Skulls, XP boosts, Event Tickets, and more! During the Witches Festival, all adventurers will enjoy a passive 100% boost to XP gain at all times. However, the Witchmother’s Whistle, once the source of this bonus (and a skeletal transformation!), is still available.”

Plunder Skulls, mind you, are dropped from bosses during the event; they contain recipes, decor, treasure, writs, maps, pet fragments (wait), and “Worms, Crawlers, Guts, or Insect Parts.” Have fun with that!
